Outdoor Adventure
At Boulder Creek Academy, outdoor activities are an integral part of a students program. Each experience is unique -- from single-day trips to multiple-week adventure. With the philosophy of holistic learning and "joy of life" at the core, outdoor activities offer our students an opportunity to achieve "hands on" learning from staff teaching through their passions. Whitewater rafting, backcountry skiing, sea kayaking, rock climbing, backpacking, snorkeling barrier reefs, mountain biking, and sailing are but a small sample of what a student may experience while attending Boulder Creek Academy.
Within these activities are valuable teaching moments where students are able to "experience" the lesson. The result: a lifetime memory of a positive experience tied to a meaningful lesson. Many of our trips incorporate service learning to allow students to integrate lessons by giving back, a key building block for optimism and self-empowerment.
Outdoor Activities and Adventure Learning help students discover that they are capable, valuable, and an integral part of the world. They overcome life's obstacles and fine-tune the tools to make healthy choices for themselves.
