Parent Support Groups

Parent Support Groups are designed to encourage BCA parents to communicate, share common experiences, and receive the same kind of peer support we so carefully construct for BCA students. Support Groups provide a unique opportunity for the distribution of information, recognition of concerns, and practical problem-solving among parents who share common experiences. They allow for discussion in an atmosphere of true understanding and camaraderie.

Parent Support Groups are typically held in volunteer parents' home on a bi-monthly basis. The group meeting usually lasts approximately three hours and includes social time as well as a more structured agenda; however, each regional group may vary. Parents are encouraged to actively participate to help guide their group ensuring that individual and group needs and concerns can be addressed.

Parent support groups are held across the United States in 20 different locations from Miami to New York, San Diego to Seattle, and many places in between. Parent Support Groups are independent of the school, and are led by volunteers who have received training in Emotional Growth Curriculum.
